Thank you to Elliott's Bakery for having us! We enjoyed ourselves.
We had a great time at our small business field trip to Elliott's Bakery. This local business if right around the corner from our school! We learned a lot about how a small business is run, we were able to take a tour of the whole bakery, and we decorated our own cookies to take home. Thank you to Elliott's Bakery for having us! We enjoyed ourselves.

In Science class, we have been learning about the solar system. After learning about the inner planets and outer planets, we discussed the distances between the Sun and each planet. Because those distances are so large, we calculated them by using scientific notation and then "shrunk" the distances down by using math to calculate scale distances.
Everyone did a great job with their projects and presentations. Today was our Social Studies Trade Fair! Each student brought in between 5 and 20 of the same type of item that they made themselves. After browsing everyone's items, we all were able to trade with each other, so students went home with a variety of different things.
Below are just some examples of items that students made to trade with classmates: small baskets, shower/bath bombs, ornaments, white boards, paintings, bracelets, and keychains. |
